WG 496 You’ll Never Work In This Town Again
This is Willow’s Grove trying to be topical…something I don’t usually do because scripts are written so far in advance. There happened to be a storyline in which I could squeeze something topical, albeit a week or so after the events of the Golden Globe Awards, but here it is, just the same. I think Ricky Gervais got a bad rap for being himself…I mean, come on, it’s Ricky Gervais! This is his brand of humor! If you didn’t know this HFPA before you hired him to host your show, you need to do your homework! I, personally, thought he was very funny on the show and if the Hollywood folks can’t take a joke about themselves, then they truly need to get a life!

Man, stupid Work Visa…I was sure hoping Ricky would be able to stick around for a few more strips.
Great job and I agree, he got a bum wrap. If that were someone else up there saying those things like Will Ferrell people would just laugh along and say “Oh, he got us.” He definitely got treated wrongly for just having a little fun.
