WG 300 Time To Wallow
Hey there…me again. Welcome to the end of Volume 4, which also marks WG number 300! Normally, it would be cause to celebrate, but with all the death and stuff going on at the end of this volume, I think it should be met with a silent clock like they do when a character on the show “24” dies. Although I must say, I write far better than the hack staff on that show…just sayin’. 😉
So here is your silent clock…
Stumble it!
(bows his head respectfully)
Ahh, if only music could be embedded into my webcomic, I could add to the scene a little more…but I am actually happy with how this scene worked…we’ll just pretend it is a silent movie…:)
Since I mentioned the star wars scene, in my head the somber version of the star wars theme that plays there goes through my head when I look at the last couple of panels.
Also that shot kind of reminds me of the end of Empire Strikes Back, where it pulls back showing the main cast stadning on the frigate looking out into space as Lando’s leaving to go save Han.
heh, yes, it is a cliched scene, but I still find it can be effective in portraying somber emotion…and possibly what is to come.
makes you feel so tiny and insignificant when you lose a friend, aww. Being in space only amplifies it.
in space, no one can hear you cry;)
