Happy Thanksgiving to all you Grovers out there! I am thankful for you sticking with me and being a reader of my comic! I hope you are enjoying the story thus far…today’s installment starts a thread based upon a movie I was up watching at about 2am while writing the script for volume 3. The movie in question is called “Goke: Body Snatcher from Hell.” It is a moving tale from Japan in the late 1960’s about gelatinous aliens that come to Earth and take over their human host by creating a rather female genetalia looking opening in the forehead in which they then enter said host to take over their body. It is a rip roaring allegory to the Vietnam war that was going on at the time, a kind of “war is bad” theme, that makes you want to rise up and march against any kind of global conflict…no, not really…it’s just a cheesy, deliciously bad Japanese horror/sci-fi movie from the late 60’s that, given the chance, you should watch…just not late at night while writing the script to a webcomic.
