Reunions…they tend to bring out some information that you never knew before. This is going to be one confrontation between Max and Crystal when this night is over.
Speaking of which, when are we going to learn how Max met Mel ?
Usually I have found at reunions (and I just had my 30th last month which was the inspiration for these strips – no, nothing at all similar happened at my reunion, so please, any classmates reading my comic, do not think I was listening to your conversations for material…well, I was, but none of it actually appeared here except for the people dancing in the background…Nova High School Class of 1984, you can still boogie!) people tend to have let go of the past (with the exception of one particular person in my class and I double he reads this so, bleh!) and just accept that we’re all adults speeding our way to old age and death, so why hold on to past grudges?
Maybe one day we’ll explore how Max and Mel hooked up, but basically in the back story, it’s always been that a little while after Crystal disappeared, Max & Mel started dating (they were in the same high school class) and, as they say, the rest is history.
