Hi there, good morning from Georgia! I found your comic a few days ago, and haven’t been able to stop reading except for when my insomnia loses to exhaustion and other daily interferences… Gotta say, the earlier comics got a little confusing at times, but it was fun to see your art transition to the style it is now! You tell a fun and interesting story, and the humor has me laughing out loud constantly. So thanks for having such a fun comic, you’ve got a devoted reader in me… (I promise to let him out sometimes)! I am wondering though… Will we see the Chimps and Fredbot&Fred again soon? Really looking forward (assumption mode activate) to seeing how Mel became that mummy thing and now, a cyborg… Though based on the memory of Crystals where she looked in on injured Mel I have… A hunch (you totally heard Marty Feldmans voice there)… Anyway, cheers! Keep up the good work!

Ps: I got the joke about the bear and the rabbit. Just sayin’.

Hello there Georgia Grover! Welcome aboard! So good to see and hear from my readers, especially brand, spankin’ new ones! Thank you so much for the compliments! (okay, I promise to stop with the exclamation marks!…oops, I really mean it this time. See? I can do it! Dangflabbit.) Yes, the early stories, ones from yonder days of ago, were all over the place, both in writing and art. The original WG was done traditionally with pen and ink and then scanned with primitive scanners before I really got the hang of photoshop. In fact, those really early ones were made without photoshop…can’t exactly remember the program, but it probably came with the scanner (it was one of those hand held scanners that you swept across the paper and took a few tries to get it scanned properly). Then when I started the Kidnapped Saga, I had gotten the scanning part down (flatbed scanner and photoshop) but decided to try my hand at digital inking with a tablet. Talk about your learning curve! (oops, sorry) But I left them up and didn’t go back and redraw them as my skills progressed just to show that there was a progression (like going back and looking at the very old Garfield comics).

As far as the Chimps paying a visit again, I haven’t really thought about it with writing the end of Volume 12, but they were a fun group to write and draw and I never say never about bringing them back at some point in the future just to see what happened to them and where they ended up. It would be funny if they ended up on that planet the Walrus was hunting Max and his crew on to see their interaction with the intelligent ape specie that was already living there (writes down that idea). Fredbot did kinda’ get lost in the shuffle of characters. It wasn’t on purpose, he just kinda’ got pushed back into the background with so many characters introduced and to write for, sometimes some don’t appear anymore or as often as they used to.

Ah, Mel. What really happened to her? Is that her in the bandages or armor? Sorry, can’t say right now, but what I can say is that thread will be wrapped up with the end of Volume 12, which the beginning of the end starts really, really soon. Crystal Waters will soon become Crystal Swan, which the name I really just got as a gag unto itself. I created her maiden name as a joke, but now that I see her new name coming up, it continues in that vein. Now she becomes a trinket, a knickknack you can buy and put on a shelf. I hope the Grovers out there will like how I wrap things up.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to comment on the comic and how much you like it. Always so very good to hear from my readers and good to hear they get my corny jokes.;) I look forward to your comments and suggestions in the future! (last one, I promise)
