Something is really really off here, got a few theories but going to need a few more comics to actually start making observations from them.
You may have to hold onto those theories for a few months, my friend, as the reveal to Becky’s actions won’t take place until mid-December(although a clue may be dropped in September). I have a tendancy to write a bunch of stuff in between tying up loose threads(in fact, I have had a bit of a mad script writing session that ended after reaching March of 2013!) and with all the in-between story arcs I wanted to touch from my outline, I didn’t get back to this particular subplot point until I had already reached December. I’d be interested to see what your theories are though.
