Yeesh, helpful in small amounts. He might have mentioned the shuttle before. On that subject I don’t envy whoever’s piloting the shuttle…..wait a sec, where’s the shuttle they have? Either ‘Calamity’ or ‘The Dragonfly’ I believe.
I thought everyone knew that if the transporter is out of commission, the timeline changes so that there are no onboard shuttles.. it’s called the plot device paradox, I believe.
With the ship heavily damaged from the battle, their hangar doors are inoperative. The ship is self repairing but due to the plothole matrix which is tied into the suspension of disbelief capacitor, the Dragonfly can’t get out unless they blow a hole through the hull;)
One thing I promised myself when I write scripts, if I leave an obvious or semi-obvious plot hole, that I would never “Mary Sue” my way out of it….that things were happening because perhaps, in the heat of the moment, they didn’t think of that option that may have been obvious had the situation not been so stressful…;)
But of course, however that doesn’t stop us from giving you a hard time about it. Among other things I’m looking forward to seeing these new shuttles at work and having a better look at the podship.

But isn’t blowing a hole through the hull to get out exactly what the firefly’s ‘deus ex machina’ cannon is for? ;p
