I have saved close to $100 when I did the big shopping trip to the local supermarket, but that was a rarity…for the most part, I may save, on average, $50…but then again, I don’t do the grocery shopping very often.
I cost my wife money. If I’m left to do the shopping, I just grab what I know we need, no price matching, no couponing! She hasn’t asked me to go to the grocery store in 10 years! *smirk*
My wife will actually put the products she saved the most on on the kitchen counter as if they were trophies so that when I come home she can drag me into the kitchen and brag about the money she saved. I revealed to her (because she doesn’t read my comic) that her coupon obsession was inspiration to the past two week’s strips. To which she just shrugged and stroked her coupon accordion lovingly.

He does better than me, when I walk out of the store and see that I saved 20 dollars on my receipt I expect to get a high five at least.
